Chilometro della conoscenza Lake ComoThe Chilometro della Conoscenza (km_c) is a cultural path and, at the same time, a green corridor of high natural value and landscape uniqueness that includes a total of 17 hectares of real charme.

The path is a stretch of the west bank of Lake Como running from Villa Olmo and crossing through the Ponte del chilometro the street to Cernobbio and passing through the greenhouses and Villa del Grumello, arrives to Villa Sucota.

You can enjoy a landscape of rare charm that encloses the first basin of Lake Como with its gardens, historical villas, greenhouses and the main monuments of the city; it is surrounded by hills such as Montepiatto and Brunate.

The aim is to promote the respect for the environment and allow a pleasant enjoyment of the places, through a slow and aesthetic approach in which nature and landscape filter the walk towards each activity.

It is an asset of great natural, cultural and artistic value, enriched by cultural, educational and scientific activities, that is why it was given this name.

The Chilometro della Conoscenza is promoted and favored by some institutions of Como and some associations, such as Associazione Villa del Grumello and Fondazione Antonio Ratti. The European Union also give a contribution.

If you want to walk this path, here are the opening hours:

  • From 27 March to 1 November only on Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • From 1 to 31 August, 7 days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
