It is easy to get about by train so take a day trip to Florence to see Michelangelo’s David or visit the Galleria degli Uffizi. If Florence does not appeal then Rome is only 1 ½ hours on the train so take the family to see the Romans at the Collosseum and chill out in the piazzas watching the locals.
