Desenzano is the biggest town on Lake Garda, and it is an all year round town and not just a holiday resort; there are lots of things to do and to see, like, for example, a lively weekly market (on Tuesday), a castle, a Roman villa, an interesting antique market (1st Sunday of the month), lots of shops, bars, and restaurants. There are several theme and water parks nearby (gardaland, movieland, giardino di Sigurtà botanical garden, …), South Garda Karting (just a 10 minute drive), spas (terme di Sirmione, Colà,…)and shopping centers. You can reach Verona by train in 30 minutes, Milan in one hour and Venice in one hour and a half. The flat is in a perfect location: a few steps from the lake, a 10 minute walk from the railway station and 5 minutes away from the ferry docking area where you can catch a ferry and tour the lake; or you can just pick up a bike and ride to Sirmione or nearby villages and beaches. If you’re travelling with children lakeside, just a few steps from the flat, there’s a children playground and the Fraglia Vela Regatta Club, your kids (age 6 to 17) can learn how to sail there.
