Positive: The location of the property was fantastic. A quick 10 minute walk into the main square and ferry. There was a bus stop almost right out the front. Access to both the street side and lake side was great. The air conditioners worked well. The beds were comfortable. The washing machine was handy to have as well as a full size fridge. There is a dishwasher but even after cleaning out the filter, it didn’t actually wash well. It was great to have the whole house, the yard and pool. There was a large lounge area and outdoor area. The bedrooms were large and there was plenty of space for 7 of us. There were the owners living in a separate sort of flat downstairs, but you wouldn’t have even known they were there.
Negative: We tried hard with the bins but probably could have used a little more instruction and pictures for anyone who isn’t used to the way bins are done in Italy. We arrived on a Friday evening and discovered the kettle wasn’t working. We let the agency know. We got a message to say someone would look at it within 24 hours and it would be fixed or replace. We got a generic message on Saturday saying there would be no assistance on Sundays. No one ever came all week. To be fair, we didn’t ask again but we just assumed it would be sorted. We boiled water on the stove all week for coffee, tea etc. It wasn’t that we didn’t like the property, it was just quite a big cost and it could use some maintenance. Plus little things like no shampoo and conditioner are provided, the doona’s don’t have covers on them. You’re really paying mainly for the location (which is pretty great).
