Summary: We stayed for four nights. The refrigerator was stocked with food and drinks — the drinks were especially welcome during the consecutive hot days. Breakfast was a self-serve affair from the fridge, enjoyed with freshly baked croissants delivered each morning. It gave us a lovely taste of village life, however brief. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, so preparing your own dinner with local ingredients is entirely possible — though you may need a car, as the village has just one small supermarket. Fresh towels in abundance, an incredibly comfortable bed (and I’m not exaggerating — I slept better here than at any hotel I’ve ever stayed in), and throughout the space, a thoughtful collection of furnishings gathered by the owner Luc on his travels around the world, alongside the bonsai trees he tends with great care. The amenities were more than generous. The space feels modern and functional, yet carries the history of the village within its walls. Luc himself is a wonderful conversationalist — make sure to set aside time to share a glass of wine with him during your stay.
