Summary: We really enjoyed our stay. The views from both sides of this villa are breath taking. Its in the village of Manerba Del Garda with small shops and restaurants within a short walk (5 minutes). This property was originally furnished and decorated to a very high quality. However, needs a bit of money spent on maintenance e.g. balcony glass cracked, holes in lounge floor where there was a room divider. The shower over the bath is okay but really needs updating. The air con in the bedrooms worked well and is fantastic. The photos don't do it complete justice: the rooms are very large, it has a flat screen TV, the furniture is of good quality, the pool is about 30 feet by 15 feet! It's lovely sitting on the balcony in the evening breeze and looking at the lake and Sirmione in the distance or sitting and watching the sun go down over the lake and dolimite mountains in the back. The agents are Garda Holiday Home, in the village, and Guila was extremely helpful - supplying anything we asked for that was absent from the kitchen. The only thing they don't tell you on the website listing is that there is a street market on Tuesday evenings from 8pm - 11pm, which starts setting up at 6.30pm. It stretches through the whole village and prevents access by car to this villa! Luckily, we were already home on Tuesday when it started. But we realized that there is another street market on a Friday morning from 8am - 1pm (which starts setting up around 6.30am), so we had to park our car in an adjacent street because we wanted to go out Friday morning. I really think the owner should have mentioned this in the HomeAway listing or the agents should have told us. It wouldn't have stopped us renting the villa as all in all it's superb. Just needs a bit of an update to be fantastico! There's so much to do and explore in the area. In the village and local villages there's lots of live music and festas. You can tell that we loved it and will be back :)
